Fees

Will you be paying £7,000 in University Tuition Fees?

You might be if you don't act NOW!

Lib Dem Mike Hancock voted against tuition fees in Parliament.

Now Conservatives and Labour have hinted that they want to raise tuition fees to £7,000 a year! Mike if re-elected will oppose this in Parliament and he and his party the Lib Dems want to abolish tuition fees altogether.

You can take steps to help the campaign against tuition fees:

1. Support Mike's petition against tuition fees.

You can support the online version of Mike's petition by clicking here.

2. Make sure that you are registered to vote in Portsmouth South.

It is a two horse race between Lib Dem, Mike Hancock and the Conservative. Anyone living in Portsmouth South either during term-time or permanently can register to vote but you can't vote unless you register soon if you haven't already! But remember your voice won't count unless you act now! You can register at http://www.aboutmyvote.co.uk  - it only takes a few minutes and then your voice will count!

And remember...

The General Election will be decided here in "marginal seats" like this one - Portsmouth South. Less than 250 votes have separated Conservative and Lib Dem before. It's a "two horse" here between the Lib Dems and the Conservatives. Voting here means that you can elect a Lib Dem Mike Hancock who has opposed tuition fees in the past and will do so again.

Everyone knows Labour can't win here. Labour are "no hope" 100/1 outsiders to win Portsmouth South!

3. Apply for a postal vote. It's easier!

To apply for a postal vote - click http://www.aboutmyvote.co.uk/how_do_i_vote/voting_by_post.aspx

4. Tell you friends about the campaign

Commenting, Stephen Williams said:

“This is a very popular idea which would give the public something back for bailing out the banks.

“I welcome the Treasury Select Committee’s review into what to do with the Government’s holding in RBS and Lloyds and hope that it furthers the case for giving the public their share.”
